You're a sad little part of my life Oh, I know I wish that you were bigger & you make me want to stay in my dreams longer and longer and longer and longer There's a devil creeping up on me Gonna use my soul for kindling and timber & His voice is like a tambourine Ringing underwater in the winter I wanna hear the alcohol in my mouth I've forgotten more songs than I remember But if I live a couple decades more I'm sure I'll wish that I'm a couple decades younger There's a devil creeping up on me Gonna use my soul for kindling and timber & His voice is like a tambourine Ringing underwater in the winter ain't the greatest gals born on a ain't the greatest gals born on a December ain't the greatest gals born on a ain't the greatest gals born on a December There's a devil creeping up on me Gonna use my soul for kindling and timber & His voice is like a tambourine Ringing underwater in the winter I've written songs about Louisianne Though I ain't never been to America And I don't even have a flag And I'm scared of guns, but I've got a bumper sticker There's a devil creeping up on me Gonna use my soul for kindling and timber & His voice is like a tambourine Ringing underwater in the winter I'll be swimming in your pockets (high harmony) I'll be in your brain, twirling all the dials I'll be swimming in your pockets (high harmony) I'll be in your brain, twirling all the dials There's a devil creeping up on me Gonna use my soul for kindling and timber & His voice is like a tambourine Ringing underwater in the winter I feel like a shitty hotel my knives are damp and my food's been there for ages well my dumbwaiter ain't much but it's mine but my bookshelves are like animal cages

Why don't you try driving backwards on the road with your dog at the wheel and one eye closed I'm gonna drink more liquor than you But it's not because I'm scared of life I once gave my friend a fright Because he didn't realise I was in the house Sarahlee I had a black eye Talking to you on the phone last night Invest in a man and invest in a child Invest in it all before it's all too late Ain't nothing complete 'till you write it down You remember like the heart of the tired old sea Luckily I left my bible in the car Or things might have turned out a lot different Stare at the clouds and hold me hard When we both wake up in the middle of the night

about

This is the first of many monthly releases, as I travel around recording EPs on my laptop.
This one was recorded on Soteria, an 80 year old gaff rigged schooner berthed in Liverpool which has been my home for the last blurry period of time.
Email astro_johansson@hotmail.com if you'd like to subscribe to the upcoming EPs, and get all the updates, demos, videos and other extras you could possibly imagine in a weekly package. Name your price!
